Other areas can be: abdomen, thighs, lower back.
Commonly it is an outpatient procedure with a recovery time of several weeks.
The Brazilian butt lift surgery increases buttock size without implants. Risks are described as low risk (American board of cosmetic surgery) up to a mortality rate of 1:300 (Vereinigung der Deutschen Ästhetisch-Plastischen Chirurgen) being a high risk. So an experienced institution or doctor is recommendable.
If there are problems with harvesting fat, buttock implants may be a way to achieve size increase. There are added risks of having implants, including capsular contracture and a higher risk for infection. Buttock implants can also look and feel less natural compared to a Brazilian butt lift.
