Brazilian Butt Lift
The Brazilian buttock lift, more commonly known as a The Brazilian butt lift (BBL) aka Brazilian buttock lift, is an aesthetic procedure that helps improve the shape of the buttocks by injecting it with fat from other areas of the body (liposuction).
Other areas can be: abdomen, thighs, lower back.
Commonly it is an outpatient procedure with a recovery time of several weeks.
The Brazilian butt lift surgery increases buttock size without implants. Risks are described as low risk (American board of cosmetic surgery) up to a mortality rate of 1:300 (Vereinigung der Deutschen Ästhetisch-Plastischen Chirurgen) being a high risk. So an experienced institution or doctor is recommendable.
If there are problems with harvesting fat, buttock implants may be a way to achieve size increase. There are added risks of having implants, including capsular contracture and a higher risk for infection. Buttock implants can also look and feel less natural compared to a Brazilian butt lift.
